overpricing or cheating. Purchased 3.10 pounds of ham last dec 24 night. I was charged 3pounds by $9 = $27....then the remaining 0.10 pounds was converted to 10 ounces times 0.56 per ounce times 10 again paying extra $5.60. I purchased another meat for $7 and my total charge to my card $37.92. When I double checked the calculation at home. My calculation was3.10 pounds times $9 = $27.90 only. On dec 26 I went back to the restaurant to complaint with staff and was told to complaint to the owner I purchased the food. I checked their calculation and it was same with me for $27.90. I was able to talked to the seller online and she refused to refunde sticking to her calculation. I even have screen shot of her calculation on my camera. I dont know how many people purchased with them using the same calculation but Ive been buying food from them since 2011 and over charging all the customers isnt right. I also complaint to the mother owner and was told she will investigate and come back to me. Sad to say as today she never come back to me
Product_Or_Service: slice ham
Refund Refund the difference of my payment. Maybe penalize them for cheating or overcharging customes.
This customer complaint by *** has been addressed multiple times by management and also by the Department of Food and Agriculture.
We have explained to *** the breakdown of what was charged to him. He came into the restaurant and ordered 4 pounds of our holiday ham (seasonal). We did not have enough to fulfill his entire order and gave him all of the remaining ham which measured up to 3 pounds and 10 ounces. The ham is priced at $9 per pound. Instead of charging him for the exact 3 pounds and 10 ounces, we told him that we would only charge him for 3 1/2 pounds - which equals 3 pounds and 8 ounces (16 oz
= 1 lb) - since it was the end of the business day. This is what was charged to the customer for the ham:
$9 x 3 lbs = $27
$9 x .5 lbs = $4.50
Total = $29.50
In addition to the ham, the customer purchased a large a la carte of beef at $7. He was also given a 15% anniversary discount and he paid with a card. We disclose that there's a charge of .50 cents for a service charge.
In total the customer was charged for the following:
3 1/2 lbs of ham = $29.50
Large beef a la carte = $7
Tax = $3.48
15% discount = ($6)
Card service charge = .50
This purchase was a while ago, but we believe the customer also purchased another item that evening.
We have tried to resolve this issue with the customer several different times and have passed a random visit from a representative from the Department of Food and Agriculture. The customer has hung up on management during conversations to try to come to a resolution and did not even leave his information when filing his complaint with the Department of Food and Agriculture. He continues to complain about being overcharged, when in reality he was discounted.
My only concerned was the way the daughters owner computed the 3.10 pounds of ham I purchased. She calculated 3 pounds by $9 and the remaining 0.10 pounds she converted to ounces and charging me 0.56c per ounce.
My computation for 3.10 pounds by $9 is $27.90.

There was a computation error for the total amount for the holiday in the original response.
CORRECTION:
This is what charged to the customer:
$9 x 3 lbs= $27
$9 x 0.5 lbs += $4.50
Total= $31.50
Everything else in the original response remains the same.
