Poch Moving and Storage

Review: I purchased a voucher for 2 hours worth of moving services from my studio apartment in NW Washington DC to my new apartment in NE Washington DC. During the course of the move the company's movers lost a 1 year old [redacted] dining table and a box full of toiletries, colognes, and electric razors, among other things. In total they lost approximately $700 worth of my things. After discussing with Amelia, the owner, we agreed on an amount of $450 to be paid in two installments the first of which was to be sent on May 12th, 2014. After numerous emails and to Amelia and her company, we haven't received any money respective to the agreed sum. Additionally, our emails have gone completely unanswered.Desired Settlement: We would like Poch Moving and Storage to reimburse us for the items they lost. It is unacceptable to lose a customer's possessions during a move. Moreover, it is extremely unprofessional to make promises that are untrue, and ignore clients who are simply trying to rectify a business's negligence. They were hired to do a job which they have not done.
