Plaza Dry Cleaners

Review: I took my wedding dress to Plaza Dry Cleaners on 07/22/2013 & was called on approximately 08/22/2013 to notify me that my dress was ready for pick-up. When I went to pick up my dress at the cleaners, there were several patches of beading missing along the neckline & many, many stray strings hanging from my dress. I told the employee of the cleaners that I did not sign a waiver or contract of any sort saying anything in regards to damages or me being held responsible if something happened in the process. I informed her that returning the dress to me in this condition was unacceptable & I expected something be done about it. She then proceeded to tell me that she would go out to purchase replacement beads & fix the dress. This was acceptable in my opinion. It is now February 3, 2014 & I still have not gotten my wedding dress back. I have called Plaza Dry Cleaners many, many times over the past 5 months and each time there is a new excuse as to why my dress has not been fixed & finished yet. I've been told they are looking for certain beads, that they've been busy, that the employee has been sick, that my dress is at the employees house & she has been working on it. My dress that they ruined has been put on the back burner, not made a priority and I have been put off more than a dozen times. I felt as if fixing my dress would be a satisfactory resolution, but I did not expect to be treated as if it was not important.Desired Settlement: I would like to see my dress taken care of in a very timely fashion considering it has been 5-6 months already. I also feel as if a refund for my dry cleaning services of $70.00 should be in order. Also, if the dress has not been fixed to a satisfactory standard I believe they should pay me for the amount of the dress.
