Review: On Tuesday, February 3, 2015 my 9-year old son was on a swing when it broke. The O-ring broke at the seam and bent open to the shape of a C. I called Playaway Toy Company Incorporated ([redacted]). I spoke to a man who said that we’re not the first one to contact them about this very issue. He asked me to mail him the broken ring so he can hold the manufacturer responsible for the poor quality. He suggested I go to Home Depot and get a replacement ring myself. Soon afterwards he called me back (within an hour or so) and said they would send me two new rings and a harness to replace the broken parts right away (Tuesday, Feb 3) and that I should get it the next day (Wednesday, February 4). He said that I should email them with my name and address, which I did immediately. We never heard back from them since. I called them on Thursday, February 5 and left a voicemail. I also emailed them ([email protected]) that same day about the same issue. No response. I have since called and left a voicemail at least once and emailed them through their online contact form (www.playawaytoy.com). I have heard nothing from them.

I have since replaced the part at my own expense so my son can use his swing. The swing is an indoor device for kids with special needs; my son has developmental disabilities and was on the swing when it broke under him.Desired Settlement: I would like tor received the promised information. An apology would be nice, too. I would also like something on record about the quality of these products, as they can result in serious injury to disabled children.
