I own a medium size funding shop out on Long Island and everyone has heard of Platinum and the numbers they are doing are amazing. I also heard one of the owners, Ali M[redacted] likes to bash other companies claiming no one does what his company does, he personally referred to my company as a joke. So I took this to heart, and sent one of my boys there to "spy" as an undercover employee and report back to me what this company was doing that made them so great. What he uncovered was not so "great"- Platinum has 3 or more affiliate smaller broker shops ([redacted]) that all get fed deals which are sent to Platinum for pricing offers. Instead of giving brokers immediate pricing, Platinum stalls, and gives full files to their top guys (Ali's friends of course) at their broker shops, full files include all pages bank statements, applications (which include private social security numbers) with notes written by other companies. Their guys hammer the borrowers and give the other companies bad names. My guy attended several morning meetings where A** likes to brag about the numbers he does. I was told after the meetings Ali's guys would mock him and his eccentric attitude. At the meetings, A** would repeat over and over how he would give any top producers their own teams, yet my guy noticed all the teams were run by A**'s personal friends. It was no shocker to hear Ali gives all the stolen deals (is there any other way to call it) to his friends. His friends would use the information on the applications to insult the companies that the borrowers were working with, calling us incompetent, and that other companies are shopping them around everywhere ruining credit reports, but they would not. What a crappy move. Some of us work really hard in an ever expanding industry. It would be nice to play fair and curb your tongue my friend. Some pay top money for these type of leads, meanwhile smaller companies unwittingly are just handing them files, which are back solicited by their former stock brokers who refuse to take no for an answer. I will never- never send anymore deals to this company. Thanks for peaking my curiosity with your big mouth A**.
