Upon inspection, our customer service team determined that a new mechanism would remedy this issue. Though we have every confidence this would fix this situation, we realize that the customer would like a new chair to feel comfortable in her purchase.  Therefore, we've called today and spoken to the customer and let her know that they are welcome to come in and reselect a new recliner at the price they purchased this recliner.  We are happy to allow this reselection as soon as it is convenient for the customer or her daughter.  We hope that this will satisfy their concerns and give them a recliner that can be enjoyed with confidence.
