Review: I work at [redacted], my facility is owned by Global Healthcare in NJ. From my understanding the insurance is managed through a third party. I changed my health insurance from MVP to Emblem HIP before my daughter was born due to the high premiums. The change in insurance was suppose to be dated to August * , 2015, but was dated to start September *, 2015. My daughter was born August **, 2015 and it appears that I do not have coverage for the month of August. After months of begging and pleading and making countless phone calls to have this dated back at the appropriate date, no change. Though I have not communicated directly with third party/ broker both my Administrator and HR manager have made countless emails/ phones calls. Moving forward, I have an excess of five thousand dollars in medical bills and have been recently sent to collections for a 400 dollar bill. After speaking with Emblem, they informed me when the employer dates back your coverage your responsibilities will be minimal. My daughter just turned 5 months old , making this dispute go on for 6 months. I do not know what to do and would like this resolved as soon as possible.Desired Settlement: I would like my insurance coverage from Emblem to be dated back to August *, so I can give my insurance ID to the businesses that provided care to my daughter and wife. In addition, I want to be reimbursed for the 400$ I had to charge on my credit card.
