Review: I made a "free consultation" appointment with this office. Unfortunately, I had to cancel it, which I did 5 DAYS AHEAD OF TIME. The office charged my credit card $60 for just making the appointment with the understanding that it was a charge in case I did not show or cancelled the appointment with less than 24 hours notice. I gave 5 days cancellation notice and the receptionist said no refund and that they charge the $60 for just booking the appointment!! I have NEVER heard of a free consultation with a doctor having a $60 charge for just booking an appointment, isn't this illegal?!:(/Desired Settlement: I want my $60 refunded onto my Visa because this doctor's office did nothing but schedule my appointment by phone for my "free consultation!" This is just wrong, and I would think, illegal.

HelloOur standard policy is to charge $60 at the time a consultation appointment is scheduled. The appointment may be rescheduled but if it is cancelled the $60 is nonrefundable. Thank you. [redacted]AdministratorThe Plastic Surgery Center[redacted]916-929-1833
Review: As a new patient, on Friday, 01 Aug 2014, I called the office to make an appointment for Monday 04 Aug 2014 to remove stitches my eye lid surgery. [redacted], the office manager, charged me $60 to keep the appointment. On the same day, Friday, 01 Aug 2014, the next few hours, I did call the office to cancel my next Monday appointment.A few days later, when checking my credit card online on Thursday, 07 Aug 2014, I found the charge was not reversed / credited into my credit card account. I did call [redacted] on Thursday, 07 Aug 2014, requesting the $60 credit, but she wouldnt give the credit due to their office cancellation policy.I did read their cancellation policy at http://www.sacplasticsurgery.com/about-us/cancellation-policy/; I did NOT see ANY in the COSMETIC PROCEDURES cancellation policy stating that JUST making a phone call appointment 3 days prior to consultation, then cancel the appointment 3 days prior to consultation is NON-REFUNDABLE. I did not EVEN come for the appointment yet. What is it stated:For cosmetic procedures:Consultation fees are not refundable. For skincare spa services:You must call at least 24 hours prior to your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.Providing less than 24 hours notice will require you to pay a $25.00 non-refundable deposit when scheduling future appointments. If you appear for these appointments as scheduled, your deposit will be credited towards treatment that day.New patients requesting treatment or services the same day as a consultation will be required to pay a $50.00 non-refundable deposit to hold the appointment time. The deposit will be credited towards skincare services provided during the appointment.Due to this reason, I am writing to request a refund credit $60 back to my credit card for unsuited and illegal charged to consumer.Desired Settlement: Please refund $60 charge back into my master card credit card.
