I contacted Planet Fitness on 3/17 inquiring on canceling my membership. The location is closed with a generic voice message (regarding Covid 19) and no other way to contact other than through *** Messenger. They initially replied and asked for my information I provided that information as requested. I asked that my membership be canceled but needed to know the process since the location is closed I have received no further reply after multiple messages sent. My account was billed $23.06 after I requested it be canceled and provided my info as requested. I have no other way of contacting them.
I have received your letter regarding the complaint by ***. I have reached out to him regarding his account via email and explained how Planet Fitness is handling the monthly payments regarding the covid19 situation. Our monthly billing is done on the 17th of each month. Due to the Lebanon location recieving notice of the closure on March 16th. Due to the short notice our billing company was unable to stop the automatic withdrawal. Once we reopen all members will be refunded for half of the month of March due to us closing in the middle of the month. As of right now all memberships have been frozen untill we reopen.
