I pay a monthly fee to exercise at this gym for myself and my wife. I have not been able to attend throughout the entire summer due to unhealthy temperatures. This has been an ongoing problem for years. Every summer we ask and remind management frequently to turn on their AC to a reasonable cooling temperature. They are cordial but never resolve the issue. This summer has been by far the worst because they are planning on moving to a different location, and currently haven't turned on the AC at all. When you walk into this location it is a ghost town. Every member currently has the same idea as my family--it is not worth exercising in that kind of unhealthy heat. Yet we still pay our membership fees and are not using our membership to no fault of our own. Management does not care because they get out money whether we use their facilities or not.
I would like for management to fix the issue so that I can use my membership during the summer months.
We acknowledge the club has been warm as of late, especially with the extreme heatwave. The club is exposed in the direct sun with dark windows and has always been warm. We recently had our HVAC provider go through all units and repair all but one unit. We are in the process of relocating the club and apologize for any inconvenience it has caused. I would be willing to freeze you billing through August or allow use of any of our other facilities if those are options.

They did not fix the problem with air conditioning and the club sill an oven with tem around 80
Again, we apologize for the internal club temperature, we did have our service company go through all the units and make the needed repairs, we offered use of other clubs and a freeze of billing (3 free months). The member has not been in the westspringfield location since the repairs and my last response, we are relocating the club to the Holyoke mall in two months and replacement of the broken unit without financial cooperation of the landlord wasnt an option. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Refund of dues requested
A doctor's note supporting the cancellation of my contract was dropped off to the location on 8/21/17. As of 9/22/17, the membership was not been cancelled and I was still being billed for use of the location. I emailed the doctors note to the club location on 9/22/17 and requested the membership be cancelled and a refund of the all payments deducted from my checking account after 8/21/17 when the letter was initially dropped off. The total deducted from my account was $49 which was 1 months membership dues and the annual membership fee. TO date, I have contacted the corporate office and the location numerous times without any resolution in regards to the refund. The membership was cancelled but the company is refusing to refund the $49.
