writing in regards to the complaint filed through your office by  [redacted] in regards to his membership with us. I have attached a copy of his agreement that he signed electronically on 3/23/2015. In the terms of the agreement, it clearly states that he signed up for a 12 month minimum term with a first billing due date of 4/17/2015. This means that his final billing date of his 12 month term will be 3/17/2016. There is, however, an option to terminate the term early for a fee of $58 plus applicable taxes. When Mr. [redacted] came into our club wanting to terminate his membership, it was explained that it would be cheaper for him to allow the final billing cycle to process on 3/17/16 instead of paying the $58 to terminate the contract early. He was informed that he could mail/email a document stating he wanted to cancel after that date to avoid further billing and to avoid the early termination fee. Mr. [redacted] decided that was what he wanted to instead of paying the fee to cancel his membership before the final month of billing. In the attached pages of the agreement, I have underlined specific points pertaining to this matter.I would also like to inform you that this matter has been passed on to our Regional Manager, Josh K., and the matter has been resolved on our end. I am rejecting this response because: as you stated the contract has a minumum 12 month.....it has been 38 months....and you still wont cancel the account without paying a fee.....I have not been in contract for over 24 months....so I dont see why you keep taking money and why it is such a hassle to cancel this.
