Review: Not showing up for work as scheduled, work not supervised, poor performance, not responding to customer calls and emails, no reponsibilty.

We have kitchen & bathroom remodel. The bathroom rough plumbing has taken over a month and a half and is not yet ready for the next phase. The work began on the second week of August and we are still without bathooms. They crew either does not know how to proceed or do not have the expertise to perform specific jobs listed in the contract. Our house is without bathrooms now for almost 2 1/2 months and this has taken its toll on our day-to-day lives. Desired Settlement: Finishing the work as promised, actually showing up for work as scheduled and living up to all their promises. Our rental has ended and my wife is due to have surgery but the house is not at all livable. They are full aware of our situation but fail to show up and do the work.

Initial Business Response

All work by Planet Construction was scheduled in a timely fashion and due to the fact that the customer lives in a condominium with a Home Owner Association which delayed the project because there was dry rot found and the Home Owner Association is responsible for fixing the dry rot, to which approximately a month has passed and the Home Owner Association is not complete which is delaying the project. On 9/30/13 customer was emailed and asked to give us a call back to discuss further progress and to talk about the promised schedule to which there was no response. The customer is expecting us to finish a project that takes weeks of preparation and months of work in an unreasonable amount of time. Above all prior to start of project customer agreed that they would not be living on the property due to no bathrooms or kitchen that would be available for everyday use.

Resolution: Planet Construction will proceed with the project and finish the project by the allowed approximate completion date of 11/22/13 which is stated on the Home Improvement Contract that the customer has originally agreed to and signed.

what a coincidence!! As I received this email today, their plumber didn't show up at all as scheduled. The kitchen is finished because of my husband's diligence, effort and management. There is still so much left to do - don't see how.
