July 21, I am writing in response to complaint # [redacted] I feel that Mr [redacted] is trying to set us up His claim that we did damage and or inferior work to his motorcycle is false When he brought the motorcycle in to us he was told that the forks were not his only problem He was told the engine was noisy and given the age and poorly maintained condition, it most likely was not going to be cost effective to repair He decided he wanted us to look at any way and signed a repair order authorizing us to work on the leaking forksNothing was said about the foot shifter While moving the motorcycle from the front parking lot back to the shop, exposed unfused wires contacted the right fork and shorted outThere were several witnesses when this happened These wires had been added by someone in an effort to bypass the missing light switchThere was no way to suspect that there was a wiring issue or that anything had been “customized” at this point I might add the key switch to the bike also had been by passed and an on/off switch was being used When the short happened the customer was called immediately and informed of what had happened and was told how unsafe it was to have the lights wired that way I feel he endangered my technician by not informing us beforehand about the unsafe modifications that had been made to this bike He had us put electrical terminals on the wires and paid us $71.04, took the bike and made arrangements to bring the motorcycle back on the 27th to work on the forks He gave us no indication that he was unhappy I do not know why he is disputing $ Sincerely, Suzann *T [redacted] Port Angeles Power Equipment 360-452-

I am writing in response to complaint #***.? I feel that Mr*** is trying to set us up? ? His claim that we did damage and or inferior work to his motorcycle is false.? When he brought the motorcycle in to us he was told that the forks were not his
only problem.? He was told the engine was noisy and given the age and poorly maintained condition, it most likely was not going to be cost effective to repair.? He decided he wanted us to look at any way and signed a repair order authorizing us to work on the leaking forksNothing was said about the foot shifter.? ? While moving the motorcycle from the front parking lot back to the shop, exposed unfused wires contacted the right fork and shorted outThere were several witnesses when this happened.? ? These wires had been added by someone in an effort to bypass the missing light switchThere was no way to suspect that there was a wiring issue or that anything had been “customized” at this point.? I might add the key switch to the bike also had been by passed and an on/off switch was being used.?
? When the short happened the customer was called immediately and informed of what had happened and was told how unsafe it was to have the lights wired that way? I feel he endangered my technician by not informing us beforehand about the unsafe modifications that had been made to this bike.? ? He had us put electrical terminals on the wires and paid us $71.04, took the bike and made arrangements to bring the motorcycle back on the 27th to work on the forks.? He gave us no indication that he was unhappy
I do not know why he is disputing $
?

only problem. He was told the engine was noisy and given the age and poorly maintained condition, it most likely was not going to be cost effective to repair. He decided he wanted us to look at any way and signed a repair order authorizing us to work on the leaking forks. Nothing was said about the foot shifter. While moving the motorcycle from the front parking lot back to the shop, exposed unfused wires contacted the right fork and shorted out. There were several witnesses when this happened. These wires had been added by someone in an effort to bypass the missing light switch. There was no way to suspect that there was a wiring issue or that anything had been “customized” at this point. I might add the key switch to the bike also had been by passed and an on/off switch was being used.
When the short happened the customer was called immediately and informed of what had happened and was told how unsafe it was to have the lights wired that way. I feel he endangered my technician by not informing us beforehand about the unsafe modifications that had been made to this bike. He had us put electrical terminals on the wires and paid us $71.04, took the bike and made arrangements to bring the motorcycle back on the 27th to work on the forks. He gave us no indication that he was unhappy.
I do not know why he is disputing $500.00.
Sincerely,
