Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
*** offers a service for a set price Pirates Dinner Adventure does not honor that price, but adds fees to the price after the fact I will take this matter up with *** and continue to use word of mouth and social media to protest this deceptive business practice I have used *** for several years and none of them have ever required an additional fee or tax A person expects to tip according to the original cost, but not to be gouged for additional fees that are determined by the whim of Pirates Dinner Adventure. The quick canned response by Pirates Dinner Adventure, demonstrates that I am not the first to protest this deceptive business practice
Regards,
*** ***

We send a copy of the page in *** where you can read that tax and fee has to be pay at time of reservationsThis is is clear and the customer can read it before buy the dealWe had over 30,customers from *** and no one single complaint like that, it means that it is clear in the contract and we did right

In the fine print of the *** purchasing page and on the voucher that the customer receives, the tax and fee are clearly stated and it is also stated that said tax and fee will be charged at the time of making a reservation with our companyPlease see attachment for fine printIt is our
standard practice to confirm with the customer, before the reservation is made, that they are indeed aware of any taxes and fees that we charge

Review: To whom it may concern,

Last week, I tried to purchase tickets because there is a good promotion going on. So, once I heard the total I was like what? I informed Pirates Dinner Adventure I wanted to use previous paid value on this purchase. Because I wanted to use previous paid value, my pricing was then increased to the regular pricing so I could use the previously paid value. The end result is, I was going to pay more to use my previous paid value.

What I wanted to do is use my previous paid value on the promotional value of an adult ticker which is $26.95 each and I was told I could not. There is nothing on the website which says this is not permitted.Desired Settlement: Pirates Dinner Adventure should let me purchase tickets at the current promotional value using my previous paid value.

Also, if this is Pirates Dinner Adventure policy, it should be on the website so customers are informed as to their policy.

Thanks,

Todd

Review: The business clearly advertises that patrons will be free for their birthday. My husband has his birth date of July 1st, my younger daughter has a birthday of July 2nd, and then [redacted] had said they would allow our older daughter born on July 29th to be accommodated as well as we wanted to celebrate all the birthdays prior to our older daughter having to fly back to her other family due to divorce, so we would not have her again until mid October. When I called to book the reservation and explained that we had three birthday's, I was told of a policy that a general price adult admission is required for each birthday person to be able to qualify for free admission. This is NOT listed ANYWHERE on their website and nor is it conveyed via their text message sign up. I explained that I was NEVER informed of this policy and nor is it stipulated anywhere. They explained when you sign up via email for birthdays that the fine print states this information, but I had signed up via text message and been provided a code for our older daughter by Ms. [redacted] directly, so there was never an email sent to me with any of this information. I explained that myself and my son would pay the general admission and if the rest of the birthday people should get in free due to it being their birthday. They stated that was not their policy and require that I buy three adult general priced admissions in order for the three birthday people to receive their free admission. I am extremely upset by this as our family was looking forward to celebrating there and even upgrading for all of us along with birthday packages, etc. They were unwilling to accommodate us and said that it doesn't make sense for their company to allow more people free than those paid just because it is their birthday! One of their sayings: "We promise to meet your needs and exceed your expectations..." That couldn't be further from the truth. I was ultimately offered BOGO, but that is still an inadequate resolution.Desired Settlement: The business to accommodate our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) to attend a dinner show at no charge due to us not being able to attend for the three birthdays we have in July within our family. An apology for not accommodating us considering we would have paid two general admission tickets, one adult and one child and were going to upgrade our package. The company FULLY disclosing on their website their stipulations for birthday people to actually receive free admission going forward as well as via text message when someone signs up for the birthday club.
