Charged overdraft fees when account was in the positive.My bank fees started accumulating on [redacted] My statement shows that my balance was [redacted] however a charge in the amount of [redacted] caused the bank to pull one penny from my savings account and charge me a [redacted] fee for the unauthorized transfer of a penny from my savings account. Every transaction after that caused another [redacted] fee until 8 fees were debited in the amount of [redacted] My account was overdrafted to [redacted] for 8 transactions that supposedly had gone over, however [redacted] of this was in fees alone and the transactions were paid. The transactions total over [redacted] so clearly the account was not in the negative when the charges were posted. When I asked the service representative, she also didn't understand why and had to call someone to help her understand why I was charged. She was told that there were transactions on hold, however she couldn't show me what was pending or in what amount. She felt bad and asked her manager if he/she would refund the charges as the check I was depositing was my grocery money for my 4 children. She was told there was nothing she could do and that I could not close my account. I was devastated. I deposited the check anyway because I did not want a negative balance.Desired SettlementI would like a refund of all overdraft charges. If I had not been charged the overdraft fees, my account would be in the positive.Business Response The fees charged where legitimate fees.
