Desserts were purchased for a wedding reception on a Friday. The left over desserts were taken and later found in the Sunday buffet. The restaurant manager lied about where the desserts came from (a local bakery). The bakery was contacted and stated no desserts were sold to the Pioneer Crossing restaurant. The manager then retracted her statement and said the main casino manager told the employees to put them out. The bride of the wedding confirmed they were the same decorated desserts from her wedding reception. The restaurant gave the bride back the last remaining desserts and still waiting for reimbursement.Desired SettlementNone to us at this time other than a complaint to the health inspector for the health violation.Business Response Good Morning,The complaint is valid. Desserts for our buffets are prepped and portioned in the days leading up to a buffet. The wedding desserts that were not consumed at the reception were in fact put out on the buffet line by the cook responsible for setting the buffet. That cook had no idea where these particular desserts came from, as we vary our desserts regularly. When it was pointed out by guests that these desserts were in fact from the wedding reception they were immediately removed boxed and returned to the bridal party. Although unconfirmed, staff on site at the time may have attempted to excuse what occurred without verifying the facts. The desserts were originally purchased by the bridal party for the reception on Friday. Albeit a clear breakdown of communication amongst our kitchen staff, it was an honest mistake and corrective action was taken immediately. We regret this unfortunate circumstance and have put in place processes to insure proper communications in the future.
