Pinnacle Lodging

Reservations were made on 2/26/2020 with Pinnacle Lodging for the dates 4/14-4/18/2020. On March 14,2020 I contacted Pinnacle to cancel due to the Covid Situation most importantly because a traveling member has a compromised immune system and exposure to Covid could be fatal. I was told no refund, credit only for future use within 1 year. After many emails, frustration and aggravation we were given a refund of only 80%. Pinnacle did not do the right thing by keeping $360 unearned revenue as there were no expenses incurred to warrant such action.

Shortly after on 4/15/2020 I received this email offer:

We’ve temporarily dropped all of our summer rates to our lowest promotional pricing, giving you the perfect reason to make your Breck dreams a reality now. We know commitment is tough in the time of Covid, so for a limited time, we are implementing a risk-free cancellation policy, allowing you to cancel or move your trip, for any reason, for a full refund up to 48 hours prior to your check-in.

How can they possibly in good conscience make this offer and send it to customer's who they have just taken unearned funds from, customers who are experiencing the most difficult times of their lives - job loss, illness, hunger and uncertainty for the foreseeable future. Now, all of a sudden, they can change the cancellation policy and offer up to 48 hours prior with no penalty? They could have done this for me as well, but made a conscience decision not to.
