Review: I am extremely disappointed in the catering service I received by [redacted] of Pinch of Thyme Catering at daughter's Baptism party on Sunday, June 23rd.Not only did I work in a catering hall in the past, I have been to enough buffet dinners to know that a standard size of a "full tray" of food is a 2 1/2 inch deep pan. Mr. [redacted] put all of our food in trays that were barely an inch deep. The rice, pasta, vegetables, chicken and fish were gone in minutes, and many of my guests left our party hungry. Not only was there not enough food, those trays were not designed to fit substantial weight of food such as chicken and gravy in them because they are so thin and flexible - they were designed for cookies, not much else. Mr. [redacted] couldnt even be bothered to put the trays of food into the heated chafing dishes. Instead he left the food in the ovens, took our $606.00 check and ran off before I realized how we were ripped off. My husband had the chicken gravy all over his suit and on the floor, 5 minutes into the party, while trying to carry the food out to the chafing dishes. It never even crossed my mind to confirm with Mr. [redacted] what size of tray he would be using because I have NEVER seen anything but a 2 1/2 inch deep pan used for catering. At nine months pregnant, I didn't think it was necessary for me to have to drive to his place of business just so he could show me which trays he would be using. I think it's really sad that Mr.[redacted] relied on trustworthy people to make a quick buck, by serving half the amount of food that we thought we were actually getting.Desired Settlement: I contacted Mr. [redacted] via email about a week ago, expressing my disappointment. I was hoping we could come to some sort of agreement on a price adjustment, such as a 50% refund (which would be $303.00). As far as I am concerned, I only received half the amount of food that was promised me, since he used such shallow trays. Mr. [redacted] never responded to my email.
