Pinch-A-Penny

On 4/16/2020, I contacted *** by phone that our pool cleaner was not working. He advised to bring in the unit for inspection. I took unit into his store roughly 11:20 AM. *** inspected unit and advised it is working properly, that issue may be elsewhere in pool mechanics (pump/filter/etc) due to lack of suction. *** contacted the weekly technician (***) to stop by and check out. *** said he (***) would be there today. I left store with cleaner unit and proceeded home, arriving at home with cleaner unit at 12:15 PM. I awaited at my home for ***'s arrival, on my patio next to pool, until 5:00 PM, in order to personally speak to *** concerning the issue. During this waiting period, I sent *** an email at 4:23 PM asking for an estimated time of arrival for ***, no response from ***. *** never showed up. I sent *** an email, the next day (4/17/2020) at 11:40 AM, asking if someone can come to look due to cleaner unit still not working. No response from *** at Pinch A Penny. At 2:56 PM, I called *** and briefly spoke to him concerning the ongoing issues. His response was that *** insisted he was at my residence (approximately at 12:00 PM), and visually saw the cleaner unit operating. This is an impossibility, I was enroute home from ***'s store, with the unit with me in my car! *** then abruptly said he would have *** call me, and ended our conversation. At 4:34 PM, *** called me. He gave me the same story he gave ***, that he visited my residence and saw the cleaner unit working. I explained to him, that is not possible, as described above. *** said he would visit again on Monday (4/20/2020), to check things out. After all this, I decided to investigate on my own. I looked over the contract provided by ***, that I agreed to and signed, that states weekly service will be performed, with a subsection specifically pointing out that the pump basket would be cleaned out by the weekly technician in the agreed upon contract. Turns out, the pump basket needed cleaned out, which I did.
