Pillar to Post LLC property management services are well below an acceptable standard and potential customers should be aware. The bottom line is communication skills, advertising methods and attention to maintaining proper state of your property is not adequate. This company advertises a guarantee that they will rent a property within 30 days which never happened. It took them 16 days to list our property after we signed the contract. Once they listed our property the only communication I recieved from them was when I sent them a question (approx 4 times in 2 months). It was two months into the listing period before they made any effort to evaluate why the property had not rented and after that they recommended changing the rent. When I approved a new rental amount it took an excessive amount of time to get the new price listed on the websites they advertised on (a week from my approval to change the rent). In addition to the tardiness of the new listing it was for a price below what I had approved. I also discovered that they did not advertise on MLS which is one of the most effective listing methods reaching the largest audience including real estate agents. They showed our property only once in 2 1/2 months and it was a "virtual" showing. After I terminated their services our new company went over to check the condition of our property. The back yard was overgrown, the power had tripped off line at some point in the past which took the air conditioning off line during the summer months which was an unpleasant surprise. While I am responsible to pay for services to maintain our property and I would have, I would expect a good property management company to check on and update me on the condition of our property and needed servicing which was never done. Pillar to Post was always polite when I could get them to correspond with me but the frequecy was very poor and not very responsive.
