Review: I paid for an infrared inspection of my entire property. I was told when I booked the service that they would go over the 'ENTIRE' property with the infrared searching for broken pipes, etc. After 4 MONTHS of waiting for my infrared report and repeated calls I finally dealt with a [redacted]
This man yelled at me, lied to me and tried to BULLY me into signing a release form to get my money back. The lying part was that he told me that they DO NOT make a report then literally seconds later says 'Do you want me to send you the report?"
When talking to him on the phone, there was lots of yelling at me. He told me he emailed me Friday October 17th, Today is Tuesday the 21st and No email and nothing in spam,
He then states "I'll give you a refund IF you sign a media release" (meaning I will NOT give bad reviews) This is BULLYING and ILLEGAL! I immediately contacted the Hamilton Revdex.com and they CONFIRMED what he said was indeed ILLEGAL. I even gave this man one last chance to avoid all this and he shut off his phone.
Even the home inspection part was in question. Previous inspections of this property showed 'The presence of termites' The house has NEVER been treated for termites.
I am a former employee of [redacted] and was a certified & licensed inspector. The inspector made NO inspections into the wood at any part of the house, simply stating NO mud tunnels were observed. The termites can literally live in the walls for years and have no visible mud / dirt tunnels. What is their means of inspection then? A PAID service.Desired Settlement: I want a FULL refund of ALL the services.

Response:
Pillar To Post is the most reputable and recommended home inspection company by mercer county real estate agents in Mercer County. We have been inspecting homes for over 20 Years and have a customer satisfaction rate of over 96%. We are proud sponsors of the Mercer County Top Producers Association. We inspected the house of [redacted] on 6/30/2014,the deal fell through for reasons unknown to us. [redacted] contacted our office four months after the inspection requesting a refund. The inspection was conducted in strict accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code for Home Inspections. Therefore the request for a refund was denied. [redacted] has the right to challenge our decision in court but has instead chosen to give Pillar To Post bad reviews on social media sites and with the Revdex.com. If you are considering a home inspection please visit us @ www.pillartopost-cnj.com to see hundreds of positive reviews from our satisfied customers. Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: It took Pillar to Post 4 months to address this issue. They were called 2 days after NO REPORT was received. They received SEVERAL calls during this period. [redacted] states that they have a 96% Satisfaction rate, well that means 4% ARE NOT SATISFIED. [redacted] illegally tried to take my rights away by saying"I will give you a refund if you sign a waiver NOT to post on review sights" Why would he offer a refund if he wasn't wrong? The asking me to sign a waiver is TOTALLY illegal! I have EVERY right to give my opinion whether a refund is given or not. [redacted] own District Manager admitted that I was right. I also have him recorded as saying "[redacted] says there is NO report but willing to make one for you (me the customer)" Well if there is NO report then how is he going to make this report. When the infrared was purchased the selling agent inform me that this was a scan of the ENTIRE Property, [redacted] never even went into the back yard and there is an ACRE of land! The house inspection is noted as a visible inspection, then they charge you EXTRA for a VISIBLE termite inspection. Well is your entire house inspection is visual, why would you charge MORE for another VISUALinspection? WHY would they do this? Because they are a FRAUD! I was a licensed Termite inspector in another state and the this inspector knows NOTHING about how to properly inspect for termites. [redacted] states that I have the right to take this matter to court. If it goes that far it will certainly be sued for more than a refund. I am going to sue them for fraud, false business practices and bullying. I have the man's own district supervisor RECORDED on voice mail admitting that [redacted] is wrong. I will subpoena ALL 4 members of his business that I dealt with and No matter what I will continue to give the MOST NEGATIVE reviews on EVERY POSSIBLE website, I also worked for [redacted] and ask them to blast this on the air. I will also contact ALL the customers who had a negative experience with this company and rally them to a class action suit against this company. This man is a disgrace and the citizens do NOT need to be ripped off anymore.

Review: We had an inspection on the property on April 08, 2015, and on July 24, 2015 my husband and I purchased the property that Pillar to Post inspected. When we moved in, we discovered a long-existing structural issue with a support beam in the center of the house that was not found by the inspector. I contacted Pillar to Post on August 9, 2015 with photographs of the damage that they negligently did not report when they inspected the home. The damage is located in plain sight right, immediately next to the staircase, and it is not obstructed from view in any way. There was no reason that the inspector did not report this damage.
I immediately contacted the Pillar to Post inspection office which did the inspection (August 9, 2015), and included photographs of the damage, however they did NOT contact me back regarding this issue.
I can provide the email that I sent them regarding the damage, including the photographs that I emailed at that time. I have been researching the insurance and liability coverage for home inspectors and it is my understanding that they carry insurance for negligent omissions/errors such as this.Desired Settlement: Given that the inspector negligently did not see the damage, which is located in plain sight, the sellers of my home were not held accountable for the repairs. I believe that the repairs should be covered by the company, or by their Omissions and Errors insurance coverage. I would also like for my complaint to be kept on file for the Revdex.com Business Review of this company in the future.

Response:
Good afternoon, I am writing in regards to complaint # [redacted] against Pillar to Post. I noticed that the Revdex.com has closed the case due to non-response from the company to you; however, they have been in contact with me and are going to come out to my property in the near future to view the damages they overlooked now that I hired a structural engineer to support my observations regarding the damage. I do not know if there is a way for you to put the status of the complaint as "Pending" instead of "Closed" until after the company has resolved this issue, but I would like to give them a fair chance to work with us regarding this problem. Thank you very much for your support in this case, and your part in helping the company contact us regarding the issue. Sincerely,[redacted]
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
