Review: We bowl on a duckpin league at Pikeside bowling alley. As there are no other bowling alleys in our area we are forced to deal with unacceptable lanes, broken and damaged machines. We paid over $11k last year alone for 24 people. We now are down to 18 bowlers as several have not returned due to the cost and facility upkeep. In example: Oct 30 lane 3 broke and we were forced to move to another lane. Nov 6 lane 3 broke again forcing those teams to move. I know there will always be break downs but these problems are not being addressed. Since the start of our league in August lane 7 right side belt in the alley has not worked and has had no attempt to fix. The ball return on lane 3&4 hasnt worked right and the balls are constantly rolling back down. We were promised two machanics to be on hand at all times and they have only one. The employees at the front counter do not know how to use the computer system, they are untrained (we had to ask a fellow bowler from another league to help us). this league will be paying them approx $7500 for the 2013-2014 year. We feel we are paying for service that is not given. We pay to bowl and compete between teams yet we are always having issues with the lanes breaking, falling apart, incompetant staff and averages that do not reflect our true talent. We are apart of the national sanctioned duckpin bowlers association and We bowl for money and due to falling averages because of the lane conditions I feel we are being cheated.Desired Settlement: Please just fix all the problems that have been happening over the years. All we want is to bowl, as we have people who travel an hour or more to be there. all we are asking for is what we are paying for: working lanes.
