Pike Stair Company Inc

Review: On or around August 12,2014 I called [redacted] who represents Pike Staircompany to come over to give me a free estimate for putting stainless steel rails and porcelain on my stairway that leads to my upstairs. [redacted] came and stated that he would write up the estimate and contract and email it to me. He asked for 2,850.00 as a deposit due to his estimate which would probably be around $28,000 to do the job. I later thought about the price and about using porcelain and thought that it was just too expensive for my budget. I later told [redacted], to come with other materials so that I could pick something less expensive. He came and stated that he could do wood stairs and railings for $10,000. I agreed but then later changed my mind, because I did not feel at peace with doing business with [redacted]. So, I called and asked him to send me my deposit back of $2,850.00. He wrote an email stating that it would take two weeks due to his accounting department. It is going on 4 weeks, I have called him and left messages asking to send my money or I would have to take measures to get it and I have not heard from him at all.Desired Settlement: I want [redacted] to pay my deposit back plus $300 punitive damages (for my troubles to get back money that is mine). I also want the [redacted] to publicly tell the public what horrible business he is running.
