Review: On June 15, 2013 I purchased a Quaking Aspen clump of 3 to be delivered and installed by Piala's Nursery. The tree was installed on July 23rd, 2013 by Piala's staff. Around the 4th of July this year I observed the leaves turning brown on one of the three tree clumps quite rapidly. I contacted Piala's to inform them of the problem. There are no issues with the other two, so I requested that Piala's come and look at the tree since it is well within the 2 year warranty. I was assured that someone would look at the tree in July and get back to me. Since then I have left numerous messages with no response. Two weeks ago I sent an email with a deadline of October 1st to respond to my request to honor their warranty with no response.Desired Settlement: I paid Piala's $284.95 for the Aspen Tree plus an additional $250.00 for installation of this tree plus another tree on my property. I do not want to replace the tree since 2/3 of the tree appears to be doing quite well. However, I do expect reimbursement for the 1/3 portion of the tree that has died plus the cost for delivery and installation. The refund amount is $142.62. Tree Price $284.95 x 33% = $94.03 Del/Install $250.00 x 50% x 33% = 41.67 Tax 5.1% = $6.92 Total = $142.62
