I contacted several stores and this had the best deal for OEM screen (my daughter broke my iphone screen). I take photos of my daughter everyday so I only want OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and not an aftermarket screen. He told me it was OEM so I trusted him, why wouldn't I? I went there and confirmed again it was OEM and they assured me. Thus I proceeded with fixing my screen. Once it was done I said the colors looked slightly off but they assured me so I thought maybe it was just bright outside.
I went home and compared it to my husband's phone and it was clear my phone color was washed out and quality was very poor. we used the same photo with the highest light setting.
I contacted him again and he wanted me to drive back there and swap back my broken screen and then I can have my money back. I told him I will have another place remove my screen and put one a real OEM and mail back his screen instead but he would have to pay for shipping. I have a 1 year old and I do not have time to drive to his place (15 minutes), wait 30-45 minutes to get my phone swapped back to the broken glass, drive another 15 minutes to another place, wait again for 30-45 minutes to put one the real OEM screen, and then drive home (15 minutes), all totaling 2+ hours!! he refused. he was trying to make it difficult for customers and had he been honest from the start, I would've bought the phone elsewhere.
A lot of his reviews show that he has done this before. Of course the ones who reviewed are the ones who actually complained, there are others who he cheated but never complained. This is so upsetting to see businesses taking advantage of innocent clients who don't know better. He gets away with all the ones who don't complain or are too lazy to drive back.
Other reviews also indicate he fixes one thing, and other things break and or stop functioning down the road.
I don't feel comfortable having him handle my phone as I've heard places like these can swap out other parts of your device (ex your good battery for their old one without your knowledge -- see his reviews for this). Nor do I want to waste 2+ hours driving around. I would rather drive to one place and have them fix it and just mail back his part. I don't think it is unreasonable that he pays for shipping since it was his fault initially and it doesn't cost much. But to expect me to waste another 2+ hours because he cheated me simply isn't right. He makes it difficult so that most clients would just give up and he gets away with it (you can see his reviews to support this).
I would be more than happy to attach a photo of the differences in the screen, reviews of customers, and emails between the business and me.
Please protect and stand up for the little people so others aren't taken advantage of!
