I was [redacted] client, although we never had and still do not have a Fee Agreement and I do not feel I was ever appropriately represented by him. I stand by what I said. [redacted] refuses to even discuss a Fee Agreement in over 3 years; I have not received my settlement almost two years old.
Additionally my concerns about [redacted] are based on his conduct.
He has tried to convince me I had signed a document benefiting him hurting me, when I had just suffered a serious injury. I had in fact NEVER signed such a document.
He has behaved erratically, showing up at my barn on a Saturday night uninvited dressing and behaving in a manner that scared my daughter, even peering through windows. This alarming behavior is not the conduct I'd expect from an attorney. It concerns us still.
I find it impossible to effectively communicate with him. Always have. I have been unable to get anything but a repetition of his agenda, which does not benefit me, in years. Trying to communicate with him is frustrating and fruitless for me.
I had to bring, and pay, a third party to a meeting with [redacted], to encourage him to talk sense. My associate valued my case. [redacted] was substantially, significantly lower. With help from my associate, my case was settled for just higher than the amount my associate said. However, I still DO NOT HAVE MY MONEY.
Since my initial review, [redacted] main focus grew to my signing an agreement to NOT speak about his conduct. He STILL refuses to discuss a standard legal Fee Agreement.
I STILL do not have my money. I am seeking assistance in getting it from the State Bar as I cannot get a positive forward moving discussion from [redacted]. They have suggested a malpractice suit, disciplinary complaint.
I've never experienced anything like this, and simply hope to arm others with information that will save them from the same. This lawyer, admittedly by himself, never represented me, just himself, and I want my money. I wish I knew about his past problems and conduct related discipline initially.
I stand by this review.
