Review: This bulb's packaging includes a warranty statement that "Philips warrants that this bulb will be free from defects in material and workmanship and will operate for 11 years based on up to 3 hours average usage per day/7 days per week, when used as directed." The packaging did not indicate anywhere that the bulb could not be used in an enclosed fixture, in fact the packaging promotes the "NEW Smaller Size / Fits More Fixtures" which would be understood to mean enclosed fixtures.
My bulb was purchased on 3/23/2012 at [redacted] for $4.29 after all taxes. It malfunctioned on 7/10/2015 and I spoke with Kima at the Philips call center on 7/14/2015 about this issue. I explained that the bulb was in a ceiling fixture with ventilation which had a cover. She said that my warranty was void because they warrant this bulb only for 2 years and that the warranty is void in enclosed fixtures. This statement contradicts what is on the packaging, and I explained this to Kima and she refused to honor the written warranty on the packaging.
Philips cannot change the product specifications or warranty period from what is stated on the packaging - that is a false advertising and bait and switch issue.Desired Settlement: Please send a replacement bulb to my address and retrain your staff on the 11 year warranty on these bulbs. Philips must abide by the warranty which was promised on the product packaging.
Review: Waiting for refund since 5/15. Customer service # is useless. They are nasty & impossible to work with. Alot of passing the buck & lies[redacted] states they signed for it 5/26. E. W[redacted] signed for it. The [redacted] receipt # can not be entered here. ! They requested the item back for refund. I sent it back [redacted]. These were hue connected bulbs ..... 3 of them valued at 190 $ including tax, which were defective. Where is my refund ? This web sight wont let me type in the bulb numbers or scan a photo of the [redacted] receipt ! Do not put me with any of these awful customer service people who "state " they will help !Desired Settlement: refund
