Review: Like most people, I expect to get paid on certain days and make my payment arrangements around them. I scheduled a car payment to be deducted from my account by [redacted] the same day as my direct deposit was scheduled. Come payday, my employer notified me that the direct deposit went down and that I would have to be mailed a paper check. It all went downhill from there. I tried to get [redacted] and PFCU from allowing it to go through, to no avail. Considering the circumstance I thought PFCU would be considerate and refund the 25.00 overdraft fee, but they would not budge. It's "still my fault" according to them. This is a high stress matter and would like it to be resolved so all parties can move on.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the overdraft explained above due to the circumstances surrounding it.

Response:
Please be advised that this recent complaint has been received and reviewed by the Supervisory Committee for the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union. The Supervisory Committee is an independent committee charged with the duty of investigating member issues and responding as to the outcome of our investigation.
In reference to the complaint, our investigation revealed that [redacted]'s payroll was deposited by check on March 26, 2013 one day after his scheduled payment to [redacted] presented to his account. Although his employer encountered problems with their payroll and was the reason that his payroll was deposited late, as a one-time courtesy, the Supervisory Committee issued a $25.00 refund of the Non Sufficient Funds (NSF) fee. We would strongly suggest that he schedule his loan payments to accommodate for any future payroll issues that may arise with his employer.
Sincerely,
Internal Audit Manager
