Attached is the contract signed by the customer stating the puppy is being sold for companionship and not for breeding or showing purposes. The puppy is a pure bred Siberian Husky registered with the AKC, but since the parents are registered with the APRI any litter would have to be registered with the APRI also. The customer was given the option to think about what the AKC Director of Registration spoke to him about, and if okay with it, come by the store and pick up a $gift card for the confusion - which he did. At this point if the customer does not want this particular puppy, a different one can be provided - one with parents that are registered with the AKC and not a different registry. That way any litter can also be registered with the AKC provided the female that it is bred with is also registered with the AKCthings need to be done by the customer - puppy has to be returned to us so that we can provide it a good home elsewhere and the $that was already given by way of the gift card has to be reimbursed

I am rejecting this response because: I was simply using the breeding as an example of what full registration would entitle me toI don't think I should return my dog for one with both parents registered with AKC because that is what the company told me I was getting in the first placeThat is the reason we purchased the dog for so much moneyLike I said I have emails from the AKC stating my dog is not full registration and mixed breed

Ms***,All of our puppies are either pure breeds or they are "designer" breeds - half of pure breed dog and half of another pure breed dog. ***'s puppy is a pure breed Siberian Husky. A breeder can register their dogs with any one of many clubs - American Kennel Club being the
most known - but not necessarily the best. The breeder of ***'s puppy registers dogs with the American Pet Registry, Inc- a very well know and respectable club as well. ***'s issue was that he felt he purchased a mix-breed puppy. His puppy is not a mix-breed. We provided him with the certificate of pedigree showing his puppy along with Sire and Dame going back generations. The real confusion was when he received a call from the AKC registering his puppy with the AKC as an AKC Canine Partner - AKC recognizes puppies that are registered with APRI, UABR, ACA and a few other big registries. The problem was when *** went to an area within the AKC site it showed his puppy as an All American Dog and not as a Siberian Husky. The papers the AKC sent him in the mail said Siberian Husky, but an area within AKC's site showed All American Dog. *** took this to mean his dog is not a pure breed and that it was a mix-breed. *** ***, *** ** *** *** for the AKC, spoke to *** about the issue and the confusion and assured him all the dogs in the area within AKC's site *** was looking at said All American Dog and that his puppy was a pure bred Siberian Husky. I asked *** to take some time to think about what he and *** spoke of and any confusion the area within AKC's site caused and let me know if he still felt like his puppy was not a pure bred Siberian Husky. I asked him if he felt comfortable with the discussion he and *** had about his pure breed Siberian Husky, to come in the store and I would have a store gift card for him. *** came into the store a few days later after thinking about it and picked up his gift card.I think he, *** with the AKC, and our store are now on the same page. Thanks,***
