Peterson Studio

Review: I hired Peterson Studio to take my wedding pictures for my wedding that occurred on June 25, 2011. We were impressed with their pictures, they photo shopped objects out, did touch ups, they said only a couple months to get pictures back to view and get a book made. They sold us a really good presentation. The day we went to see what they offered we signed the contract which included a book with so many large prints of different pictures that we were to select along with multiple, and a cd of all the pictures. We paid them a deposit and signed. A weeks later they called my mother (my parents were paying for the pictures) stating that she never signed the contract. So she went and signed another contract. This time it didn't include the cd. By this time I had misplaced the original; I was living in a different state in the process of moving. When she called and told me about the cd not being included, I figured there was nothing we could do, the new contract was signed, they got one over on us. They sent me an email a few weeks after the wedding with a preview of all the pictures. They said don't pick any favorites until we see them on their big screen. We made an appointment to view them in their studio on the big screen. In the mean time we viewed them had an idea of what we wanted. On the day of our appointment we (my husband and I) picked the pictures we wanted in our book for the 8x10's and full pages portraits, along with others that we would like to see as well. Owner wrote down the picture numbers as we were picking them. We were at the studio for more than 3 hours picking out pictures for our book. In November we received the book and I was disappointed. Most of the pictures that I had selected didn't make it as the featured portraits that we agreed upon. When my mother went back to pick up prints that she had ordered from the preview Maryanne asked how I liked the book. My mother told her I was disappointed and why. Owner was short and said "brides are too picky," and left it at that.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the cd, it was in the original contract. Others that we had spoken to who had there pictures done by them received a cd. I would also really like to have a book with the pictures I selected. A lot of the pictures they selected were ones that I told them I did not like. I want what was promised to us and worth what we payed. If I would have known about Revdex.com at the time I would have filed then.
