misinformed on a couple of items you have mentioned in your complaint.
The trade value you mentioned we gave Mrs. [redacted] is incorrect.  The amount given was more than what you stated.  I am not sure if you were aware that the vehicle traded (2004 Nissan Sentra) had a branded title, which means that at some point the vehicle had been declared a total loss.
A branded title clearly states that the vehicle is either reconstructed or repaired in order to notify potential buyers that the vehicle has indeed endured damage that may cause additional problems in the future. The state will issue a salvage certificate if it matches the definition of such as stated inSection 49-123(m)of the Idaho Code. This also includes vehicles that the owner or an insurance company considers the result of an unrecovered theft.
Due to the condition of the vehicle, and branded title, we are unable to re-sell the vehicle at the dealership, thus we took a loss on the trade.
I also looked into fair market value for the vehicle your wife purchased, and it is right in line with comparable vehicles sold in the area.  There is no indication that she over-paid for the vehicle, and in fact, she benefitted from purchasing a vehicle that will be safer for your family and new baby.  That is what is most important, a safe reliable vehicle for your family. 
It is not customary for us to question the integrity of our customers when they are purchasing a vehicle from us, thus we would not have called you to discuss a purchase your wife made.  Due to the fact that you are not listed on the paperwork, I can’t legally provide specific information regarding the purchase, but we would be happy to go over any additional questions you have about the purchase with your wife’s written approval.
