I stated to Mr B***s that this was unacceptable and that I haven't had the use of my car and that my car payment had to be made and I could not split the cost with Dixie ImportsI am stI'll waiting to get my car fixed? Business stated they never increased the price of the vehicle? They said the customer drove the car and something went wrong with it (timing chain)? She took it elsewhere to be fixed and then comes back? It was denied by the warranty co, which they can't control b/c it was a pre-existing issue? How can it be pre-existing if the car started and stopped?

This complaint was resolved on April 6, to the satisfaction of the Buyer? Even though the Buyer purchased a vehicle “as is” and acknowledged so by his signature on an As Is Disclosure at the time of purchase, Dixie Imports was able to help the Buyer obtain and pay for a short term warranty from [redacted] Warranty Co to the satisfaction of the Buyer? The Buyer then, less than days later, purchased an additional vehicle on May 3, much to his satisfaction and also to that of Dixie Imports

This complaint was resolved July 5, to the satisfaction of the Buyer Unfortunately the warranty company the Buyer purchased the policy from should have been who he contacted for a refund and explanation of any calculation of monies due just as it was explained to him The Buyer’s complaint should have been to the Insurer if he was not satisfied However, Dixie Imports took it upon themselves to issue a check for a refund in an amount that was satisfactory to the Buyer and in turn seek reimbursement from the insurer which was then denied

The Customer purchased the Mercedes GL on May 27, and as you can see on the attached sales documents below it was clearly sold “AS - IS” as printed on both the Retail Purchase Contract and on the Buyers Guide both signed by the Buyer. At the time of purchase as confirmed by the agreed to and signed “We Owe Sheet” by Dixie Imports, Incand the Buyer, the only two items were to add freon to the AC unit and to check the volume on the radio and advise the findings. The AC issue was taken care of and on June 30th Dixie Imports offered to split the cost for the radio repair parts totaling $1200. The customer told us that this was unacceptable.
