Pepper Tree Inn

Review: I arrived at the Peppertree Inn in Lake Tahoe California. I asked if they had vacancy with the room that had two beds. She said yes one bed will be a queen one bed will be a full-size . After purchasing the room under the assumption there will be two beds in the room , there was only one full-size bed in the room. When I proceeded to go back to the office to consult the clerk of only one bed in the room, The office was closed no personnel found and no after hour phone number to get ahold of anyone. I refuse to pay for this room considering I was fraudulently disieved and did not occupie this room for the night. California law states that the assumption you are getting is what you are buying. In this case, I was frauded, this is not what I was buying. I left a note with the keys , that I did not occupy the room due to fraud. Also I did not receive a copy of what I signed , therefore this whole transaction was illegal, unprofessional and fraudulent. I am thoroughly disappointed in this [redacted] approved motel and unprofessionalism.Desired Settlement: To not be charged for a room I did not occupy.

According to my staff, this guest's Visa charge in the amount of $101.97 was reversed on May 3, the day after the incident. I will notify our guest of this ask them to look for the credit on their account. if there is any trouble with this refund, this guest will have my direct contact information.
