It was great to work with people that know the business, Great Service, always returned calls, friendly. Got the job done in a timely manner. I would recommend this wonderful staff to whom needs Financial help with any kind of loan. 5 Stars all the way. :-)
I filled out an application for a loan seeking a preliminary amount I would qualify for on Sept 6, 2014. Todays date is Oct 19, 2014. I have yet to receive ANYTHING, nor have I heard ANYTHING other than excuses such as daughter's graduation or prom, vacation, out of town, etc., from [redacted] of People's Mortgage. I did get an infantile cartoon like email about what is needed to process timely. I provided everything required per the list they gave me. In the cartoon like email it indicated a 48 hour turn around, (whereby someone would be notified if qualified or not, and how much, if so). It must be noted that I did not send in the info on Sept 6, but a few days later due to a death in my family. It does not excuse the approx 1 month of not hearing anything otherwise. Then I was told I would absolutely hear something 10/18. Did not. Find someone else to go to and another lending organization for underwriting. It's not worth the energy and major heartbreak working with these folks.
Joanna H[redacted] was my loan broker and she went above and beyond to take care of my loan needs. I am very happy and pleased in the results from Joanna and her team!
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
I apologize for not getting back to you! My complaint has been resolved. Thank you for all your help![redacted]
Sincerely,
[redacted]
August 23, 2016Revdex.com1010 E. Missouri AvenuePhoenix, AZ 85014RE: Second Response to complaint ID#: [redacted]To whom it may concern,As previously stated in our response letter dated August 16, 2016, due to information privacy laws under both state and federal laws, we are unable to provide copies of all of the supporting documents without Ms. [redacted]'s written permission. If Ms. [redacted] is willing to sign the attached Consumer Authorization to Third Party Communication form and email it to my direct email address at [redacted], we will promptly supply these documents through the Revdex.com's Business Complaint web portal to verify our prior statements.Ms. [redacted] previously spoke with Carrie [redacted]' Regional Manager, Tim G[redacted], who asked her to please forward to him a copy of the police report for the credit card fraud she claims she has made but Ms. [redacted] has yet to supply that report. We request that Ms. [redacted] please provide documentation of this police report in order to verify her claims that Ms. [redacted] fraudulently opened a credit card using Ms. [redacted]'s identity. If Ms. [redacted] has filed a police report and has named Ms. [redacted] as the individual suspected of committing the crime then local law enforcement would have been out to speak with, if not arrest, Ms. [redacted] by this point and to date, Ms. [redacted] has received no such visit from the local police department, nor has our corporate office received any such visit or communication for any law enforcement agency regarding this matter. When a report of credit card fraud is made to a police department the law enforcement agencies have the ability to make direct contact with the creditor and obtain information almost instantly about the attempted application for credit made with them. The type of application made (i.e., mail, online, telephone, etc.), date and time of application, and even an ISP address if the application was made online, is typically made available to law enforcement personnel making the request almost immediately. If Ms. [redacted] did file a police report they will have some form of information collected from their investigation that will likely show that Ms. [redacted] is, at a minimum, not a suspect in the crime. Ms. [redacted] has been employed with Peoples Mortgage Company since early 2011 and worked with Tim G[redacted] for about 5 years prior to that. She is well known and respected at Peoples Mortgage Company; she is one of our top employees and has always maintained a high degree of integrity and professionalism. There is absolutely no motive for Ms. [redacted] to open a credit card in Ms. [redacted]'s name. Ms. [redacted] is not in need of money and having any further credit in Ms. [redacted]'s name certainly would not have helped Ms. [redacted] get Ms. [redacted]'s loan approved. It would be counter-intuitive in every way. Ms. [redacted] would certainly never risk her longstanding and successful career by committing such a crime.Again, we have and are ready to share the supporting documentation to verify that Ms. [redacted] maintained her statements that she was unmarried on all of her applications and documents relating to the transaction in question. Ms. [redacted] believed Ms. [redacted] to be divorced until it was discovered through the loan underwriting process that she was not.We do not intend to imply that Ms. [redacted] was knowingly attempting to commit loan fraud; on the contrary. all good loan officers should take it upon themselves as their duty to the their clients to help direct a borrower's behavior in such a manner to protect them from unknowingly committing loan fraud, which is what Carrie [redacted] did when she would not allow Ms. [redacted] to continue to apply for a loan program using false information. Ms. [redacted] was offered an alternative loan program but she chose not to accept it.
We ask Ms. [redacted] to please complete and sign the attached Consumer Authorization of Third Party Communication so that we can provide the documentation to support our positions as she has requested to see it. We also ask that Ms. [redacted] also please provide the documentation she has requested to see it. We also ask that Ms. [redacted] also please provide the documentation she claims she has to support her position. Namely, the email correspondence and police report to document her claims.
Please see attached response letter and authorization to release consumer's confidential information for her to sign and return giving us written permission to share her confidential loan application information and communications.
Sincerely, Macie H[redacted] General Counsel
Brandon H[redacted] and his entire team went above and beyond getting me the best rate, and answering all my questions. It made buying my first home a much less stressful endeavor than I had expected.
August 16, 2016Revdex.com1010 E. Missouri AvenuePhoenix, AZ 85014RE: Response to complaint ID#: [redacted]To whom it may concern,Carrie [redacted], licensed Arizona Mortgage Loan Originator #[redacted], had talked with Ms. [redacted] about...
mortgage pre-qualifying on or around April20, 2016.Peoples Mortgage Company received an application for a mortgage loan from [redacted] on June 23, 2016 to finance the purchase of a home in Phoenix, Arizona, with Carrie [redacted] as the loan officer. At the time of pre-qualifying (April 20th), and again upon the formal loan application (June 23rd), Ms. [redacted] had stated on her loan applications that she was unmarried. Her loan application, Loan Status Report (aka "pre-qualification"), and residential home purchase contract, all signed by Ms. [redacted], all repeatedly indicated she was unmarried and had no spouse. Additionally, the title company insuring the transaction indicated in their records that Ms. [redacted] was an unmarried woman. However, during normal loan processing it was discovered that Ms. [redacted] was in fact married.Arizona is a "Community Property" state so the loan product for which Ms. [redacted] had applied for contains different qualification rules for married persons intending to exclude their spouse from the transaction in a community property state. These rules rendered Ms. [redacted]'s application to be denied when applied to her correct circumstance, being married instead of unmarried as she had claimed.Tim G[redacted], Regional Manager, spoke personally with Ms. [redacted] once the correct marital status was discovered to discuss and explain the significance of the matter. Ms. [redacted] became disinterested in alternative options for which she may have been qualified, citing added delays and less favorable loan terms. In tum, we were not able to approve Ms. [redacted] for the loan product she wanted because she did not qualify and to allow her to continue with her untrue statement about her marital status would be to knowingly allow her and aide her in committing loan fraud and Peoples Mortgage Company does not tolerate or assist in loan fraud in any form.Unfortunately, due to information privacy laws under both state and federal laws, we are unable to provide copies of all of the supporting documents that will verify the above provided response without Ms. [redacted]'s written permission. However, with her written permission we will promptly supply these documents to verify the above statements. We regret being unable to resolve the matter to Ms. [redacted]'s satisfaction
The borrower altered their paystubs to qualify for a loan. We caught it before we issued a final approval. This borrower is not eligible to...
receive a loan at Peoples Mortgage and had been added to our ineligible list for loan fraud. We are looking into reporting this borrower to other agencies to prevent any losses to other companies in the future.
I have been in the unfortunate process of trying to buy a home for 47 days now and its been the most trying time of my life. Our originating agent has been horrible business person to deal with. If its not the lack of care and concern for the client and getting to things in a timely manor, its the lack of attention to details. We have been through hoop after hoop trying to appease these is and to date just get a cold shoulder. They make you jump through hoops to get documents back to underwriting only to have their underwriting put more requirements on you. So you go through every task in as reasonable manor as you can due to their timimg and they sit on the information for another 24-72 hours. We have been asked to pay off 6 years for debts and a car. We do all that and then they want you to come up with another $10,000 for additional debts. Once you have done all that they tell you that now you don't have enough money in the bank and underwriting wants to see more cash in your accounts. We wait through the holiday weekend to get an additional paycheck in the accounts and reprint all our docs and then they blindside you with a "minor" detail that requires a change in wording from all 3 credit bureaus in order to finally pass the docs on to title. Our agent has the worst communication skills of anyone I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I cant believe that she has been doing this for as long as she has with her lack of attention to details and communication skills. I will never recommend them to any one and highly doubt that my real estate agent will either. I just hope that they can get their act together and finally get things fixed so I can buy my house before the end of the year at the rate that they are going. NEVER process a loan through these guys, they tell you that things look alright in one breath and the next they want an act of congress to happen in 24 hours! Sad that with all the positive reviews on here there is a huge issue in AZ!
I was told that my income was not enough to qualify for a refinance AFTER months of correspondence with this company. Income was submitted in the FIRST week of dealing with this company. This company forced an appraisal, AFTER submission of paystubs that first week. They insisted that I move forward, and insisted that the $500 for the appraisal would be returned to me. My complaint is simple - I was purposely misled to go forward with an expensive appraisal. If my income was not enough, why move me to pay an expensive appraisal fee that WAS NOT GOING TO BE RETURNED? What purpose did it serve to continue to lure me further when they knew, in the first week, that my income was not sufficient? This company wasted my time and MY MONEY. They do not communicate effectively between their departments to the detriment of possible clients. Insisting I pay an appraisal fee, and continuing to pursue the process, when they clearly KNEW THAT MY INCOME DID NOT QUALIFY - THAT IS not only BAD BUSINESS, but also A FRAUDULENT PRACTICE.

Peoples Mortgage found me through [redacted] when I submitted my information on their website for my home search. I elected to go with Peoples Mortgage of Utah due to my point of contact's ([redacted]'s) aggressive behavior and willingness to return calls. My wife and I located a [redacted] foreclosure that we wanted and qualified to purchase. We met all of [redacted] guidelines, and we had/have the to credit, and down payment to close on the residence in the 30 days that the selling bank required. [redacted] informed us after two weeks that the Lenders they were going to sell our loan to did not lend on manufactured homes. He reported that he had a lender that would. The day of closing he requested additional paperwork to be signed, which we completed/returned immediately. My real estate agent spoke to the selling bank and obtained a 30-day extension. Suddenly, [redacted] would not return my calls. My agent called [redacted] three times without a return call. The selling agent called [redacted] without returns. All three of us sent [redacted] emails without a response. We hit the deadline for the extension and obtained a second 30 day extension. The selling agent finally received an answer from [redacted] that the buyer of my loan was not returning his calls. It was very unprofessional of [redacted] and Peoples Mortgage not to keep me informed of the situation. I would have immediately found a lender elsewhere. We finally obtained another 30 day extension from the lender, and my agent located a lender that lends on manufactured homes. My wife and I were exhausted throughout the process. We were required to pay for another property evaluation, etc. My wife and I finally elected to not go through this process again and let the home go. I never heard from Peoples Mortgage again. It would have been very professional for [redacted] to contact me immediately and inform me that the loan would not work. We would have been disappointed; however we had appropriate time to secure a new lender. It was a lesson learned. I could never recommend Peoples Mortgage to anyone.
Easy to work with and very responsive to communications by loan officer, Sheri N[redacted]. We have financed and refinanced with the same loan officer on three occasions.
I was still legally married and Carrie [redacted] was aware of this. My husband went to the title company to sign a claim deed waiver per Carrie's instructions. So again, this is another false statement. Why or where is the documentation to back this? Regardless of that new piece of information that has never been brought to my attention until now, Carrie [redacted] opened up a credit card in my name, without my permission during this loan process. This is fraud. I never authorized her to do so. And once again, this issue is not being addressed by Peoples Mortgage. I have the credit card, valid evidence of the act of fraud, endless emails and a police report.
Once again, if I was denied for the loan for whatever reason that is fine. However, turning the situation to make it look like I lied is poor business ethic.
I want a refund in the amount of $1,750.00, the amount I invested and lost, not including time off work and other circumstances that have developed because of Carrie [redacted] committing fraud.
If my demand is not met, I will pursue further action and make sure that Carrie [redacted] does not do this to anybody else in the future.
