I have notified them of the issues Ms. [redacted] experienced when attempting to opt her information out of the PeopleFinder.com...
website. In the meantime, I have removed her information from the Intelius database, as well as our other affiliated websites. However, it is important to note that the procedure to opt out is temporary. Intelius is constantly updating its database with new public records. It is possible that an individual may need to resubmit a request to opt out for any new records that may have been added to its database since their last opt out request. While we are unable to anticipate how, when, or if information will reappear on our sites, we will be more than happy to remove an individual’s information upon request or the member can utilize the automated online opt out process and select the records they would like to remove at https://www.intelius.com/optout. This information should successfully resolve Ms. [redacted]’s complaint and we thank her for bringing this to our attention. If she can either provide me with the email address that she used when purchasing her May 2017 report or the first six and last four digits of the credit/debit card and billing zip code she used to purchase her report, I should be able to identify her most recent transaction in our billing systems. Intelius’s policy is to use all applicable means to deliver the information services to its customers. The information we provide is gathered from selected public records and other sources. The data is compiled into a comprehensive public record search that Intelius maintains with active...
updates from its sources. Due to the nature of public records, Intelius cannot warrant the information provided is current, complete, or accurate. Before purchasing a Marriage and Divorce Records add-on for a supported report, a list of available states which Intelius can report these records for is made available. A visual aid of the United States is also provided to help clarify this further by shading in states where these records are not available. Illinois is not listed as a state which we can provide these records for. We want Mr. [redacted] to be fully satisfied with his purchase from Intelius. Since he was not completely satisfied with the People Search Plus Report and Marriage and Divorce Records add-on, we have processed a refund in the total amount of $17.90 to his account on 8/5/2016. This refund ($9.95 & $7.95) will appear on his statement in one of the next two billing cycles depending on the closing.
