Review: Purchased a new home from [redacted]'s manufactured by Pennwest. Took ownership as of 4-20-2016, prior to occupying the home noticed a lot of defects, or defects caused by improper carelessness of Pennwest employee's when installing the bath tubs. The guest bath alone has at least 10 damaged places, the tub in the master has at least 5 damaged places. Notified [redacted] project manager who then had me contact Gail from Pennwest, I told both [redacted]s project manager and the representative from Pennwest the only resolution I found acceptable would be for them to replace both bath tubs, the most they would offer was to have them "repaired". My husband also spoke to another representative from Pennwest who said he reserved the right to repair or replace his option. Per Pennwest warranty their isn't any where that states the option to "repair" what it does however state is that inspections occur throughout the construction by internal quality assurance managers as well as independent inspectors and that before the home is loaded for transport it is then inspected again, I'm wondering how with so many inspections did this get missed, by the way the damaged baths have not been our only issues with the home, but so far Pennwest is taking responsibility for the other issues. Pennwest is falling back on the bath company [redacted]s warranty which clearly states it doesn't cover damages caused by fault, carelessness, abuse or of the installation. So, if the tubs were in this bad of shape to start with then Pennwest should of returned them to [redacted], not installed them in a home.Desired Settlement: For Pennwest to replace both the guest bath tub and the tub in the master bath. My husband and I purchased a NEW home not a home with patched or "repaired" items, if that was what we had wanted we would of purchased a used home

Review: Pennwest was suppose to send someone out to do repairs. House was checked by authorized inspector on Jan.23,2015. I have contacted Pennwest twice to see when someone was coming out. I was told they would be contacting me with a time. I have not been contacted.Desired Settlement: I would like repairs made, or money refunded so I can hire someone to do repairs. This has to be done in a timely manner.
