ID; ***Recently a customer of mine bought a Cup Cake Stand for a Wedding that she was planning to attend The item she bought is a large tier collapsable and reusable cardboard product from a British company It comes in a clear plastic display case with decorative cardboard
insert Around a week after the sale the customer returned with the product and asked if I would take it back as she had not in the end used itShe explained that she had taken it out of the container and another attendee at the wedding had folded the case in half so there was substantial crease in the display case and the cardboard insert I told the customer that I could not take it back and refund her because the case was so damaged( I also was not sure that the item had not already been used and returned to its case, as there was no way of knowing)Had the whole thing been in perfect condition I would have gladly refunded her? She walked out of my shop telling me in a very ungracious manner that she was going to make a point of telling the world how unfair I had been I was a little upset and offended as I felt I was not responsible for taking the lossIf I had let her return the item I would not have been able to sell it at full price.
