I purchased an RV black holding tank and a 1 1/2" rubber fitting and a 3" rubber fitting from Pelland Enterprises and on their web site the 1 1/2" fitting says to drill a 2 3/4" hole and the 3" fitting says to drill a 3 3/4" hole. So I order the hole saws from another company. I did drill the holes in the tank and when I went to install the fittings the 1 1/2" the hole was to big so I went and checked the web their web site to confirm and that is the size it says. I have a printed installation sheet for both and the confirmed that also. I checked what a 2" fitting would be and it was 2 3/4". The tank cost me $585.00. What I came up with is to get a 2" fitting and then I will have to buy a reducer and glue and pipe. I will have to put everything away and wait till shipment. I took the day off work to complete the job. I allowed 2 day (FRI.& SAT.). So I called Pelland and the first person I talked to said he couldn't do anything for me so I asked to talk to his boss. Dawn answered the phone and said she could send me the 2" fitting and that's it and it wouldn't get to me till Mon. or Tues. We full time in our RV. Another issue. I asked if she could compensate me something for this hole issue and she said all she will do is send me the part. I'm not pleased with the way they handled this and I see that they got on their web site and corrected the drilling size for the 1 1/2" fitting. I guess to cover their butt. They didn't do it soon enough for me.
