Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: the business is lying they do in fact have all the paperwork they requested; and since I work at night it is impossible for me to answer the phone while I am asleep
Regards,
*** ***
We understand there may be a hold of $on complainant’s accountWe did swipe the card and there was a pre-authorization for the amount; however, the pre-authorization of $never batched outPeerless Cleaners has no record of receiving a credit card payment in the amount of $from complainantAt this point it is up to Kleberg Bank policy on when the funds will be releasedIf complainant is able to talk with *** Bank and finds that the funds were or will be debited, Peerless Cleaners will refund the $immediatelyAgain, we apologize for the inconvenienceThank you for your time
We have tried to call Mr*** to resolve the situation and have been unsuccessful in communicating with himThe paperwork Mr*** submitted to Peerless is for a Pre Authorization and since our records indicate we did not have a credit card deposit in the amount of $(on January 19) we
would appreciate if he could send the actual debit from his accountOnce we receive this we will be authorized to refund the $immediatelyWe are truly sorry for the inconvenience and frustration we have caused Mr*** and please know we will resolve the situation
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] ; it appears that the charges were reversed; all this could have been avoided if they believe that the customer was right, more education on how to handle credit card transactions and to avoid illegal credit card transactions; I will go to DA's office to withdraw the misdemeanor complaint of theft.

On January 21,2016,I sent the the following letter to [redacted], Owner of Peerless Cleaners: Dear [redacted] I am writing this letter of complaint regarding a shirt which Peerless Cleaners lost in October: " shirts can be picked up after October 22", according to the receipt which accompanied the shirt. The receipt which accompanied the delivery showed two shirts. Actually, there was only one although I was charged for two.I reported this to [redacted] about three weeks after the delivery. He asked for two more weeks to find the shirt. I agreed.About two weeks ago I received, filled out and returned a claim form for the shirt. [redacted], I am sure you will agree that three months is long enough to resolve this matter. Please push this along so it can be promptly cleared up.Very truly yours, [redacted]I have had no response from [redacted] or any one else at Peerless Cleaners. Desired SettlementI would like a $25 refund, as I stated on the Claim Form.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]I'll will contact [redacted] and check on this. I do not recall a claim for this, but being something this far back that is understandable. However, if claim was submitted and we did not respond. [redacted] of course has every right to be upset.I will get with [redacted] this afternoon and see what I can do.[redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I do not recall a conversation with [redacted]t in which I agreed to accept a credit on my account in place of the refund I requested on the claim form. I certainly would not have written to [redacted] on Jan.21,2016 asking him to "push this along so it can be promptly cleared up" if I had previously agreed to such an arrangement. Therefore, I reject the $31.00 credit and restate my claim for $25.00.[redacted] Final Business Response I will reverse the credit to his account today and issue a check in the amount of $25.00.[redacted]Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)The issuance of a $25.00 check to me satisfies my request for a credit in this matter. I consider the matter closed.[redacted]
