assured the delay wouldn't cause a problem. We immediately updated our website with the correct lead time for the item.
7-27 We received a call from a lady stating the delivery time was unacceptable and that the order should be cancelled. We immediately cancelled the order and started the refund process. Late that afternoon the lady called back to place the order again as she couldn't obtain the harness elsewhere. The cancelling and replacing of orders delayed production. We provided free next day shipping and pushed the manufacturer to expedite production and are happy to say the order is scheduled for delivery today on 7-30.
We carry over 10,000 SKUs and have real human beings that keep these items up to date. Unfortunately we do make mistakes and stating we had this harness in stock was an honest mistake. Once we realized the error we did everything possible to make the customer aware of the delay before charging any credit card. This compliant is very surprising as we have done all that can be done to keep the customer up to date on the situation along with apologizing profusely every step of the way and offering free Next Day Shipping.
