This is the worst company I have ever done business withNot only are their prices completely outrageousThey have found a loop hole around insurance deductibles by billing mom and baby so that you don't meet your deductible and you pay on both accounts
They have terrible customer serviceWe have tried to set up automatic monthly payments dozens of times and for some reason they say it doesn't work
Please, please do your research and be aware of what doctors come visit your baby in the hospital and who they are employed byThey spent a cumulative of minutes with me and my child during our day hospital stay and I'm still having to pay $1,out of pocket to themIf this isn't the worst case of insurance fraud I don't know what isI still have yet to be told accurately what I am paying forIf you can avoid this medical group please do!!!
I contacted Pediatrix Medical Group in July 2016 regarding payment. The representative I spoke with informed that I could log-into their portal and make monthly payments $60, which I did each month forward. I attempted to log-in today and it stated that I had a zero balance. Knowing that this was not correct, I called and was informed that it had been sent to collection because I had set up a 'formal' payment plan. I explained that this was not that case as I did speak with someone in July, which they had record of as well. In addition, I said that each month when I logged in there was no notification about the account being 'past due' or lack of a 'formal' payment plan. I also never received a phone call from anyone about a deficiency related to the account (i.e. past due or lack of formal payment plan) They responded that mail had been sent to an address that I no longer live. While I regret not calling to update my address, my log-in did not indicate ANY notification of past due or need for a formal payment. In fact. my payment history reflects that I followed the instructions provided during my initial phone in July. To further aggravate the situation, I was directed to the collection agency who at this point in time does not have any information thus I am currently unable to make my monthly payment.
Considering the damage it causes to one's credit and financial history to be sent to collections, their behavior is unethical. In additional, both representatives I spoke with seemed incompetent to handle people's medical billing information and customer service issues.
