I arranged, through ***, to have this company clean my dryer vent The work was done 2/14/ The advertised cost for this service began at $69.00, escalated to $and wound up costing me $ I believe the work that was done was satisfactory However, beyond the up-selling, MrWilliam R***, the owner informed me that my vent system did not confirm to code.He neglected to tell me it did meet the code standards when built and was "grandfathered" according to local utility organizations He then suggested I replace the external vent as a minimum for safetyand gave me a cost of $including $for a second service call I told him I would get back to him and promptly determined the vent he was going to order and install cost less than $30.00.I contacted MrR*** by Email challenging his estimate with specific cost figures quoted directlyfrom the vendor and his estimate I also mentioned my concern regarding the escalation and upselling of the o
