Back on Saturday April 11 I met the contractor out there to review the homeowners home and to discuss different options. She had an insurance claim. Dennis was there but yet Sendi, his wife was not. This was a prearranged appointment. She had an insurance claim pending. It wasn't until July 3 when I first heard from Sendi via Email. I asked her to call me so we could talk about products and differences (wanted to make sure she was educated and that I understood what she was looking for), Unfortunately, she said she could not call me, only email me. (her phone didn't work well). She stated she wanted a laminate throughout. So I sent her some links so I could get an idea of the colors/quality she was interested in. All she wanted was pricing. It's very difficult for me to get adequate pricing without knowing the quality of the product and how she wanted it to perform. Water, kids, pet?
This was the contractors response to the bad review she gave him...........The owner, prior to our involvement signed an agreement. We spent numerous hours working on her behalf to ensure the insurance company paid a fair amount for the reconstruction. This is a significant expense to us, therefore if the owner and the general contractor agree to a scope of work and contract to complete repairs, there will be no monies due for the time spent estimating and working with the adjuster. If the owner chooses to not use *** after we have spent many hours working on getting the scope of work approved by the insurance company, a fee for this service is charged and payable by the owner.
