customer was told of the labor warranty also we install the part 06/the unit was working until late Julywe advise the customer we can go out there but since it was past the day warranty they would have to pay for the trip out there the
customer didn't want to pay and wanted everything to be for free and we advise we couldn't do that with out reexamine the unit to see why the board is going out but customer refuse

The reply by Payless Appliance does not attempt to reach a "middle ground" for resolutionTheir response simply reiterates their position of their iron clad day warranty -- even though it is clear the part they replaced failedThe tone of their response is dichotomous with their tagline "providing service to people, not just machines"
Two suggestions for a middle ground solution:
Payless appliance gets full payment for a diagnostic and installation visit if the failure is not related to the part replaced on 6/If the failure is related to the originally installed part, they get paid for the diagnostic visit but not for the re-installation visitI would have expected them to make a similar type offer
As a sign of good faith Payless Appliance agrees to highlight and more obviously disclose their day warranty policy with customers which is illegibly buried in an agreement statement at the bottom of their billing formFull disclosure of such a restrictive warranty protects both the customer and the businessI would have reported the failure withing the day period if I was made awaree of its existence
