Business responded to complaint See attached.Business response also copied and pasted below by Revdex.com staff 10/20/14.October 17, 2014Ms [redacted] Revdex.com, IncEuclid Ave, 4th FloorCleveland, OH 44115Re: [redacted] & [redacted] ** [redacted] Dear Ms [redacted] :The following letter is our response to complaint [redacted] .Summary of events and services providedPaul Davis Restoration was contacted on May 21, regarding a fire at the [redacted] residence.After some discussion is was determined that PDR would assist the [redacted] ’s in the restorationof some their personal contentsPDR did not take all the contents due to concerns the [redacted] ’shad regarding their insurance policy limits.The contents items identified by the [redacted] 's for PDR to handle were packed out and photoinventoriedWe did not take everything due to insurance policy limit concernsThe contentsitems we took out of the home were photo inventoried, packed, moved to our warehouse,cleaned, stored for months at our facility and then returned to Mrs [redacted] in early JanuaryPaul Davis Restoration did not handle the structural repairs at the home.Move back was completed on January 15, We made two trips out to the home with all oftheir contents and furniture itemsAs we were unloading the contents back into the home thehomeowners began the process of unpacking contents and refurnishing the homeDuring themove back process several questions were asked about particular items that they could notfindWe were contacted by Mrs [redacted] on several occasions and we continued to havecontact with her up until late March, trying to ?nd missing itemsPer Mrs [redacted] 's request weprovided her with all of the inventory photos we took which totaled over pictures p2The items in question varied from small sentimental items to the condition of their curiocabinet After further research and review of the inventory photos some of the items inquestion were located and returned to Mrs [redacted] We also discussed repairing the cabinet forher even though the photo inventory shows that the damage to the cabinet was pre-existing.The remaining items in question could not be found in the inventory photos We have doubleand triple checked our facility for the items in question and we have not found themWe believe that they were a part of the initial discard from when the loss occurred or they weresome of the items that PDR did not take from the home per the [redacted] 's request.We do have a copy of a Completion Certificate signed by Mrs [redacted] for the work completed byPDR[redacted] Contents and Cleaning ManagerPaul Davis Restoration of Cleveland Metro and Akron [redacted] A [redacted] OwnerPaul Davis Restoration of Cleveland Meto and Akron
