When I called to make an appointment, I stressed that I was only interest in spending only $95.00. I was not interested in anything else, the receptionist told me to come in. A technician performed a series of x-rays. The dentist after his examination said that he would not give me a regular cleaning to compete the $95 deal. I told the dentist that I thought that his advertisement was a con. He did not like my comment. He did not charge me for the x-rays and exam. I have lived in Patterson since 1989. No dentist has ever advertise such a deal to get new patients. How many people have some form of gum disease? What is the percentage? I was testing the dentist to see if he was a man of his written word. His advertisement was very clever.Desired Settlement: The receptionist explained to me that there were basically three types of cleaning. $95 deal was the regular cleaning which was removing tartar buildup and polishing the teeth. The other two cleanings were more expensive. The regular cleaning has been the only type of cleaning that I have ever had over my 65 years experience with dentists. The dentist should have his dental hygienist finish the job with just the regular cleaning only because my conversation with his receptionist.
