I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask. Yesterday I walked into this business to pick up my order and they refused to let me in. Screaming and yelling obscenities at me. I told them repeatedly I had a medical condition and they kept calling me names and ordering me to leave. I asked for a refund then and they refused. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A BUSINESS IVE EVER HAD. So rude and ignorant. The yelling and name calling was completely unnecessary. I waited over three works for a piece of furniture to come in. After being told numerous times it would come in this Friday then the following Friday then the Friday after that. I went in asking where it was and for a refund, after the owner Originally told me she would, then they refused. No receipts, no paperwork. She had absolutely no idea what I ordered, where it was, when and if it had shipped out. Refused to give my money back and threatened to call the police because I wasn’t wearing a mask. Needless to say not only did I not get my furniture, a refund, have any idea where my piece was, but I was also verbally abused.
When the governor allowed non essential businesses to reopen, it was under the stipulation that we require face masks or face coverings in our showrooms. This customer came in without one, and when we asked that she wear one, she immediately became very irate, screaming about her medical condition. We completely understand having a medical condition that doesn't allow you to wear one, at that point it is under the same governor's orders that if you can not wear one due to a medical condition that you must remain 6 feet away from other people. When this customer refused both wearing a mask and staying 6 ft away, we were forced to threaten calling the police as she became more and more irate. She was swearing in front of my 2 year old niece, and daughter who were both in the store as witnesses to this. I myself am recovering from cancer and at high risk, so when this customer continued to yell, refusing to back up to at least a safe 6 ft distance, we asked her to leave. As far as her order, it was placed over the phone, during our shutdown due to Covid, and that is why she had no paper receipt. We do in fact have her information saved in our computer system if she had been able to ask in a calmly matter the status of her order. As with all businesses, orders have been taking longer then the usual amount of time to ship, because of the current pandemic. This is out of our control, and we are issuing a refund to appease the customer, who does not have the patience or understanding of the current circumstances to wait.
