I've used Pat's Body Shop several times through the years and have never been disappointed. They have expert, friendly staff, quick turn around, and your car will look showroom new. They work well with insurance companies.
Review: I was in a car accident and had it towed to Pat's Body Shop on Country Club rd in Winston Salem. I made it very clear that nothing was to be done before I was told an estimate amount period. During the weekend and due to the fact that the car was purchased from Bob King Mazda we decided to have The car towed there. When our tow man got there to pick up the vehicle, Pat's would not allow it to be towed away without paying for the work they had already started. The work was NEVER authorized at all. I understand the storage fee but they had no right, written or otherwise to tear out all the windows. We talked to them and they were very rude and unprofessional. The way they conduct business is very inappropriately. Please do something to help us get back our monies spent for nothing.Desired Settlement: The money we had to spend for the time and energy they took for ripping out all our windows. Please know we didn't request for them to do anything at all.

Response:
First of all we are very disappointed that one of our
customers had an issue with our business. We have done work for this customer
in the past and have had a good working relationship. This vehicle that was
damaged was towed into our shop from China Grove, NC. The vehicle arrived on
November 14th and we received via fax from her insurance company the
estimate of repairs on November 13th. We had a verbal agreement from
her insurance and the customer to begin repairs. Part of this repair process
did involve removal of broken glass and removal of one other part of glass on
the panel that needed repair, this was a total of two pieces of glass removed. Monday, November 19th the customer
called us and informed us that she was having the vehicle moved to another body
shop and that she had not authorized any repairs, even though we had received
the estimate from her insurance company and a verbal agreement from her earlier
in the week. We told the customer that she was more than happy to have the vehicle
moved, but that she would have to pay storage fees and removal of the glass
from the vehicle. At this point the customer became very upset and angry with
us. In our opinion these fees were very minimal for the amount of time and energy
already put into her vehicle, less than $300.00. Ultimately the customer paid
her bill and had the vehicle moved to the other body shop at which point the
vehicle was determined to be a total loss. We find this odd since we had a
written estimate from her insurance company to repair the vehicle. We regret that misunderstanding with the
customer and pride ourselves on exceptional work and customer service.S. Scarlette - Owner
