Review: Hi, Patriot Home Remodeling contacted us regarding getting our stoop and walkway renovated. It was not clear how they found us, I thought my daughter contacted them via [redacted] but we confirmed this was not the case. We decided to move forward with this company for the renovation of the front steps, walkway and replacement of the iron handrails. The steps and walkway were completed without incident. They seemed to be thorough. There were moments where they were hard to reach, but the job was done. Now we had to wait for the iron handrails. They confirmed we would not be able to use the old ones, and said it would take two weeks to get new ones installed. 3-4 weeks passed without ANY contact from the company. We called them and it took them multiple days before we were able to confirm that someone would come measure the steps for the handrails. They informed us that an employee had left, which caused the delay in service. This is not acceptable. The handrails were installed within a day or two of being measured. They were installed INCORRECTLY. They are bolted to the steps. They are also too high, and measured incorrectly. There is a gap between the gate and the house of about an inch or inch and half where the bolt sticks from the house to the gate. This should sit FLUSH with the brick of the house. Other homes have the iron gates placed in their steps, not bolted to the top. This looks very unfinished and unprofessional. We contacted the business to have them come back and look at the work, were given a time of 6pm 6/**/2015, but they never showed. Prior to this, the man who installed the gates was supposed to come back and look also but he left a note on our home saying the gates looked fine. Someone is home in the house 24/7. He never rang the bell. This is completely unacceptable. We paid over $9,000 and have had to deal with very horrible customer service. We would like the gates to be redone by a professional! Whoever they sent was completely inefficient and it took TOO long. Per the supervisor of the job we are owed a discount for these extreme delays, as well as the horrible gates. The job should have been completed by 5/**/2015Desired Settlement: We would like the gates to be redone by a professional without bolts, properly measured, and at the proper height. In addition, we want a corrected invoice that reflects a discount for this delayed service. The entire project has taken close to 2 months when it should have taken 2 weeks or less.
If they are unwilling to replace it, we would like the discount to be increased
