As was previously communicated to the client by Patriot directly on 3/20/2017, per the language in our client signed “Gas Purchasing Strategy” document, written cancellation notice is to be provided by client directly to the *** email address no later than days’ in
advance of the beginning of the month in which the plan term endsThis process is in place to avoid any confusion regarding when and where the cancellation notice should be sent, in addition to meeting the minimum notice requirements that are in place for our suppliers. While we received a written request to have the client’s electric accounts dropped from service at the conclusion of their agreement, we have no record of receiving one for their gas contractHowever, upon receiving notice on 1/5/2017, Patriot processed the request immediately to ensure that their account dropped on their next available meter read (1/24/2017) in hopes of avoiding any additional negative impact to their businessAll documentation stating the terms and conditions of both agreements had previously been provided to them. Patriot handled the cancellation process per the language of our client signed paperwork and got the account dropped as soon as we were in receipt of the written cancellation request from the client
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].
Intent to cancel was clearly communicated and acknowledged by our sales rep. - those communications as well as our contract and final bills are attached. The business is correct in that the contract does require cancellation notices to go to [redacted] - however burying this in fine print should not negate our sales rep's responsibility to direct us to the proper channels when an intent has been clearly communicated.
